Some Online Resources for Tech Comm

There are probably hundreds of blogs, web sites, downloadable PDFs, and other resources for people interested in tech comm. Here are a few.

Resources linked from Save the Semicolon

  • Check out the Internet Buzz link at the top of every page, which takes you to tweets and blog posts from people I follow.

If I don’t subscribe to you or follow you, and you think I should, please drop me a line!

By the way, if you don’t subscribe to any blogs, then I suggest you give it a try. It’s the easiest way to see what’s going on out there. Rather than visit a bunch of sites, you just visit one (like Google Reader), or open a program (like NetNewsWire), to see tons of headlines and choose which ones to read.

To subscribe to Save the Semicolon: Click either “Subscribe in a reader” or “Subscribe by email” in the topmost white box at the right of any page.

But WAIT! Before I paste in the list, I want to mention another resource.

Indoition

Indoition isn’t a blog, and it doesn’t have regularly updated posts. But it does have tons of information of interest to tech communicators (including project checklists, market surveys of help authoring tools, screen capture tools, screencasting tools and other utilities).

You can go to the site and look around, or download the 115 page PDF.

Blogs I subscribe to (in alphabetical order)

Take a look at the list, or download all of them in one zipped OPML file (it’s only four KB). After you unzip it, the file can be imported into some newsreaders.

    Hello,
Pleasantly surprised and honored to find my blog in here. I’ve never been listed in TW blogs before ever, so a big thanks! And adding you to my blogroll too!
